 The Blythe Creek Grinder Pump Eliminations project is a $6,189,019 sewer project for Union County Public Works. The project was designed and is being constructed to eliminate 16 EA small grinder pump stations for UCPW. The project includes 5160 LF of 18” sewer, 3290 LF of 12” sewer, 8444 LF of 8” sewer, 90 EA sewer Manholes.

With the removal of the grinder pump stations the existing residential sewer services will be connected to the new sewer lines. The new sewer lines are also designed to serve future developments in the area. In addition to the sewer pipe and manhole there are 6 bores, one of which is 380 LF, multiple creek crossings, and rock to be removed for the installation. ​

The project is broken into two areas. One area is in the Waxhaw town limits and the other is in Union County. Both areas are under UCPW jurisdiction. Javier and crew moved onsite in April of 2019 and should be complete in January of 2020. Tim moved onsite in June 2019 and should be complete in February of 2020.
